About BizCap

BizCap - providing small businesses the capital they need for their growth and expansion.

The good people of County Corp have done really great things for over 30 years both in small business lending and in the development of affordable housing.  For some time now we've known it has been a real challenge to appropriately and succinctly describe these functions to our two primary customer groups (small businesses and residents) without lots of "deer in the headlight moments."  We decided our Elevator Speech would become easier if we rebranded our different activities to make it clearer and it has had the desired effect.

Therefore, effective March 1, 2012, all of the economic development programming available from County Corp and County Corp Development was rebranded as BizCap.

BizCap provides small businesses the capital they need for their growth and expansion.

County Corp

County Corp is the private non-profit development corporation for Montgomery County. The mission of County Corp is to improve the quality of life for residents of Montgomery County and neighboring counties through improved housing and economic opportunities.

County Corp grew out of the need for Montgomery County to actively participate in affordable housing and economic development. In 1978, the Board of County Commissioners and their staff pursued the concept of a non-profit that could do development work prohibited to an Ohio county under the Ohio Revised Code. Incorporation approval from the Ohio Attorney General on December 17, 1979, made CountyCorp the first housing and economic development non-profit in any Ohio county.

County Corp Development

County Corp Development was founded in 1981 as a private not-for-profit development corporation committed to supporting economic development in the region. Through County Corp Development we expanded our mission to work on business expansion opportunities and fill financial gaps for small businesses.  County Corp Development makes business loans through United States Small Business Administration (SBA) 504, Ohio Regional 166, and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. In addition, we also have funds available for Child Day Care loans. Funding is used for facilities expansion and equipment needs. Our loans are tailored to meet the specific needs of small businesses. The loan amounts range from $5,000 to $5,500,000 and offer low, fixed interest rates.

As one of the most respected development organizations in the state, County Corp Development is a Certified Development Company authorized by the SBA since 1982, and has made Ohio Regional 166 Loans since 1991.

County Corp Development is authorized to make SBA 504 and Regional 166 loans anywhere in Ohio. CDBG & Child Day Care loans are limited at this time to businesses within Montgomery County.  County Corp Development is specifically committed to the continued support of the small business community and economic development programs in southwestern Ohio by concentrating its efforts in Montgomery, Greene, Miami, Shelby, Darke, Preble, Warren, Clark, and Champaign counties.
